Every Wednesday, I’ll be doing a post outlining where you can expect to find Lois throughout the week! Why Wednesday? So that you’ll know which comic books to pick up at the shop. If I miss anything – cameos in other comics, interviews with actresses or writers, television appearances, etc. – please let me know by leaving the information in the loislaneverse ask box.

FRIDAY, June 24:
Tomorrow, Lois Lane and the Resistance finally hits stands! I hope everyone is excited, and planning to pick up a copy. I’d be remiss if I didn’t remind you of our Lois Lane and the Resistance Contest. Remember, for every copy of the comic you buy, and every pro-Lois letter you send to DC, you’ll get one entry. Click here for more details.
Just as a heads up: I’m also going to start adding more content to this blog. Starting tomorrow, I’ll be posting weekly Lois quotes, panels, screencaps and fanart. I’m going to open up submissions, as well, so if you have any favorites, be sure to send them our way.
CBR has put up a three page preview of Lois Lane and the Resistance #1. Check it out! The art is so-so in my humble opinion, but I’m loving the dialogue. It’s so very Lois. The DCU Blog also has some more info on what to expect from the series. I can’t WAIT to pick this up.
Here’s the first page and the cover with trade dress. Be sure to head over to CBR and check out the full preview!

Also, don’t forget our Lois Lane and the Resistance #1 contest! Buy this book, win prizes. It’s that simple.
Well, I’ve allowed the Lois Lane series campaign to take backseat to other concerns about the DC Reboot up until now. It seemed insensitive to me to push people to campaign for a Lois series while they were either worrying over the fate of their favorites, or writing letters about more serious issues, like the reversion of Barbara Gordon from Oracle to Batgirl. We will still be having a contest, though, and I’m urging everyone, before this relaunch takes place, to support Lois’ miniseries. Perhaps if it sells well, DC will consider launching a Lois Lane ongoing. We can only hope.
The Contest
In order to encourage people to buy as many copies as they can, I’m going to hold a raffle. For every copy of Lois Lane and the Resistance #1 you buy, and for every letter you send asking DC for a Lois Lane series, you will be entered to win. A week after “Lois Lane and the Resistance” #1 is released, on June 29th at 6 p.m. EST, we’ll do a random draw to determine the winners. The winners will be announced on tumblr and twitter, and contacted via email. If you don’t get back to us within a week of our contacting you, the prize will go to a runner-up.
The Prizes
A Funko Superman Plush:

How do I enter?
Take a photo of either your letter or your comics, as picture below, and send that photo to loislaneverse@gmail.com with the subject “Lois Lane Contest.” If you have multiple copies of the comic, position them so that they are all in one photo and it is clear how many comics there are total. We need them all in one photo to prevent cheating; it does our cause no good if people just buy one comic and take multiple photos of it in order to increase their chances of winning a prize.
Here’s a sample photo of a letter, along with two of the prizes that could be yours:

And here’s a photo of some of the comics I picked up today, to give you an idea of how to position your comics in your contest entry photo:

Again, send entries to loislaneverse@gmail.com, with the subject “Lois Lane Contest.”
Please, spread the word about this contest, and consider entering!

That makes two of three covers in which Lois is relegated to the background. Let’s hope the covers aren’t mirroring the story within; it would make me bitter indeed if Lois wasn’t actually the main character of this book.

So the picture above was on The Source with the file name: lois_lane.
Hopefully that won’t be the cover art for Lois Lane & The Resistance #03ETA: It just occurred to me that the pic is most probably Lois’ logo
But what I found incredibly amusing was Abnett’s answers:
The world of FLASHPOINT has been cloaked in secrecy. What’s the hardest part of not spilling the beans?
“I keep having to shout at my cats to vent my excess excitement, so I’m probably looking at serious vet bills right now.”
We’re going to ask the impossible. Can you sum up the series you are working on in five words–or less?
“Peppermint aardvark plethora corduroy– no, it appears I can’t.”
How often do you get asked questions you can’t answer about the world of FLASHPOINT?
“I can’t answer that question.”
One of the central conceits of the FLASHPOINT world is that we’ll see the DC Universe in a way we’ve never seen it before. (Without ruining/spoiling major plot points that we should keep under wraps…) What in the mini-series you are working on is going to make fans sit back and say, “I’ve never seen that before?”
“Diana as a full on Amazonian warrior, true to her heritage. That’s scary. And Lois Lane at her most resourceful and determined.”
The second one is probably my favorite answer lol
I’m still uneasy about Diana, but Lois sounds awesome as always.
Check out the Source here, here and here for more of this interview, with more to be posted later today, probably.
Despite my feelings on most of the other minis… I’m still SUPER excited to see Lois in action.

FLASH QUESTION: Lois Lane meets the mysterious leader of the Resistance – but will she survive? FLASHPOINT: LOIS LANE AND THE RESISTANCE #2 Hmm, I guess my assumption that Lois was calling the shots for the Resistance was erroneous, then. I have to say I’m pretty bummed that Lois has been relegated to the background on the cover of her own miniseries. We get so few Lois covers as it is.
