Other Items of Note

  • Bleeding Cool is reporting that there is a Smallville continuation novel written by none other than former show writer and Batgirl scribe Bryan Q. Miller in the works. Given that Lois is one of Bryan’s favorite ladies to write, if this rumor proves true, the book is bound to have plenty of Lois! (If I was a betting woman, I’d lay money on BQM’s other project being a comic series that spins out of the spin-off novel.)

  • Not a dream, not an imaginary story, not an elseworld. This is Flash Fact: When Barry Allen wakes at his desk, he discovers the world has changed. Family is alive, loved ones are strangers, and close friends are different, gone or worse. It’s a world on the brink of a cataclysmic war – but where are Earth’s Greatest Heroes to stop it? It’s a place where America’s last hope is Cyborg, who hopes to gather the forces of The Outsider, The Secret 7, S!H!A!Z!A!M!, Citizen Cold and other new and familiar-yet-altered faces! It’s a world that could be running out of time, if The Flash can’t find the villain who altered the time line!
  • Welcome to FLASHPOINT!

*Lois doesn’t actually appear in this book, I’m told, but you may want to pick it up if you want some context for her solo Flashpoint series, which starts next month. Hopefully Lois’ book will be self-contained enough to keep this from being necessary.

Other Items of Note

  • As an adjunct to the CBR article about the DC Nation Panel that we posted about a few days ago: I know some folks found the wording of the CBR article a bit confusing, so just to clear it up, yes, the room did actually erupt in cheers at the idea of a Lois Lane ongoing. It sounds like when someone asked a question about a Lois Series, blogger Erica McGillivray cheered extremely loudly, which intrigued Harras and lead to him asking the crowd what they thought. More cheers followed. I’m still smiling over that!
